Wiadomość wysłana przez: Goldlbum, Lorne 25-02-2003 14:02:05
Hi my name is Lorne and I born and raised in Toronto Canada. I'm 52
and my main passion is music, hence my line of work is a DJ. I'm
asking for help in identifing several songs for a memorial project. A
very good DJ friend of mine Wally Macdonald died of AIDS several years
ago and I have his master reels which I've turned into cds. I am
giving them to his family. Unfortunately Wally didn't write down any
play lists. For the last year I've been researching names of artists
and song titles to complete the play lists before I give the cds to
his family. Out of 500 songs I didn't know about 100. I'm now down to
about 20 mystery songs. All these songs were recorded in the 80's.
Wally was well known in the music industry. He did remixes for Amanda
Lear "Follow Me", Ramona Wolf
"Step by Step, Antonia Rodriguez "La Bamba to name a few. He was a great
DJ and a great friend. There are six songs that I have posted at:

http://www.spiritofradio.ca/SongSearch.asp

1. posted 2/18/2003 song # 212, my educated guess is Sparks "Music You
Can Dance To" (instrumental) need confirmation of this guess
2. posted 2/18/2003 song # 210, possible title "Maybe I Feel"
3. posted 1/20/2003 song # 180, cover of Foster's "Beautiful Dreamer"
disregard to echo Wally put that in
4. posted 12/11/ 2002 song # 129, Vangellis like (instrumental)

5. posted 12/11/2002 song # 128, a Peggy Lee parody of "Fever" most
likely titled "Tumour" Female vocalist sounds as if she might be French
6. posted 12/11/2002 song 127, the singer sounds alot like Lisa Dabello
but it's not.
If you put your mouse pointer on download song, the song number should
appear.  I have several others that I will be posting on my home page in a few days.Thanking everyone in advance.
